GORDON ROY STEPANIUK
Date of Passing: Nov 10, 2012
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGORDON ROY STEPANIUK Tragically, from cancer on November 10, 2012. Gord was predeceased by an infant son, his beloved brother Peter and his mother and father. "If" If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you, If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting, too; If you can wait and not be tired of waiting, Or being lied about, don't deal in lies, Or being hated, don't give way to hating, And yet don't look too good, nor talk to wise; If you can dream - and not make dreams your master; If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with triumph and disaster And treat those two imposters just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools; If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breathe a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve their turn long after they have gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will that says to them; "Hold on!" If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch, If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you, If all men count with you but none too much; If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds' worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son! Rudyard Kipling Gord was a man who unfailingly did what he believed was right; a father and husband who seldom stumbled under the weight of those responsibilities. You were taken from us much too soon, Gord. You will be in our hearts forever. With love, Nony, Jeffray, Jodi and Jon Funeral service 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 16, 2012 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street, viewing one hour prior to service. Gordie lives through Elle and Jeff, Jon and Jodi and the grandbabies. Legends are based on the life you led. There are some people that we meet in life that are bigger than life and it is hard to imagine them leaving before us. Gordie always did it his way. We will meet again. - Posted by: L.J. I am very sad to hear of Gord's passing which I just found out today. What a man, with a heart of gold and a friend for life. I first met Gord at the Mid West Karate Club Dojo back in time. He gave me a number of pointers which I was very appreciative. He and Eleanor attended my wedding social and that night Gord saved me from a number of guys who were not happy with my occupation. Gord was like the Charles Bronson.... tough, fair and yet kind hearted. I remember seeing Gord in the Pas while he was working there. He always took time to greet me and speak with me. He never judged anyone and treated everyone the same. Eleanor and Family, please accept my sincere sympathy. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Rest in peace Gord. - Posted by: Nuno Camara (Friend) on: Nov 21, 2012

we would like to express our deepest condolence,to all the family. I learned many things from Gordon,he was an expert at any kind of job he took on,the work was always done to perfection. He worked hard, and smart. He loved his family deeply, and spoke often of them when we were alone camping.....even though I often felt his BIG deep voice would scare off the animals,I never said any thing ,as I enjoyed listening to his stories...I have a few good outdoor pictures of GORD,if any of the family would like to see them i'd gladly e-mail them.. ...Gord found a place in my heart, and I will be taking him with me on my adventures through the wilderness, lakes and rivers. with love and respect Kyle & Konr - Posted by: Kyle&Konr Martinson (good friend) on: Nov 16, 2012

Gordo could have survived quite well in the wild, wild west because he had no fear. Over the years, he went from being a customer to a friend and confidant, and I'll miss his straight forward, no bullshit approach to life. Au revoir! - Posted by: Don Tomac (Buddy) on: Nov 16, 2012
