DANIEL (DAN) JOSS On Monday, November 5, 2012, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather Dan, at the age of 91 years was sent by the Lord to be with his beloved wife Mary who predeceased him in 2010. He is lovingly missed and greatly cherished by sons Daniel Jr. (Janice), Keith (Marion), Ken and daughters Eleanor Winch (Garry), Jacquie Joss, grandchildren Danna Kaplan (Joel), Kim Mercury (Jamie), Bradley Joss (Tanya), Jennifer Flasha (Jeff), Tamara Mackie (Rob), Danielle Winch, Zachary Joss and numerous great-grandchildren. Dad took great pride in all his family and their accomplishments. He was a man of few words. The multitude of complex tasks he undertook throughout his life were jobs he felt challenged to do. For example, without any formal background in construction he designed and built a huge addition onto the house, personally trucked in a garage, excavated and poured a basement, built a large gazebo, etc. He had no problem taking a motor or transmission out or into a vehicle and doing his own body work on his vehicles. When Dad did a job it was perfect and built to last. He worked many years as a self employed trucker for the City of Winnipeg. In earlier years family outings included Legion picnics, house parties and trips to Half Moon in Lockport. Attendance at the horse races at Assiniboia Downs with Phillip, Joyce, brother Bill and John and Carrie were common. Everyone who knew Dad and Mom were aware of their many trips to Las Vegas. Even trips to Edmonton and US border towns involved casino visits. They loved to be out and about enjoying themselves with family and friends. We all love you Dad and credit you for teaching us to always be the best that you can and create your own masterpieces that you can be proud of. We would like to extend our gratitude to Dr. Panaskevich for her kindness and compassion during Dad's stay at SOGH. Funeral Service at Cropo Chapel, 1442 Main St. on Monday, November 19, 2012, at 10:00 a.m.
