RAYMOND CLAEYS It is with great sadness our family announces the passing of Raymond on November 21, 2012, at the age 58 years old. He is survived by his loving wife, Simone who was the love of his life for 32 years, his children Sherry Anne (Albert), Raymond (Carrie), Leona (Jamie), Kim (Sean), Paul (Jackie), James (Tara) and Michael. Also by his mother Emilie Claeys and his father-in-law, Horace Ross and 15 wonderful grandchildren who were his pride and joy and the light of his life. Also survived by his sister Rachel (Andre) Therrien, and Rita (Gordon) Linklater, Richard (Sylvia) Claeys, Rena (Gerald) Bonneteau. Raymond was predeceased by his father, Paul Claeys and sisters Rose Gagnon and Lucille Ritchot and mother-in-law Dorothy Ross. Raymond worked at Victor's Concrete for 27 years, he also was an owner operator of his Kenworth which he loved to drive across the country and had a passion for music and enjoyed playing cards. Also saw himself as a Babe magnet, and was the life of the party and lit up any room he entered. There was never a dull moment and also lived life to the fullest. Raymond was a very big hearted, hardworking, caring and loving husband, father and Pepere. Raymond also leaves to cherish his good friends Joe, Aime, Alan, and a very special lady Patricia Morales. The family wishes to thank the staff at the MICU at the Health Sciences Centre for your care and compassion to our Raymond. A Celebration of Raymond's life will take place on Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. 204-586-8044

On behalf of the family in Ste. Rose du Lac, we share in your grief. I got to meet Raymond and Simone, unfortunately, by catching a ride with them back to Ste. Rose for my grandmother's funeral back in 1999. Raymond was indeed a very outgoing fellow and a friend to everyone - even people he just met!
