  • I lost track of Uncle Ron and the Johnson/Laidlaws for a long time. My Uncle Bill Laidlaw's death in a round about way brought us together again in Winnipeg. It was a short but sweet reunion. He gave me photos and stories about my Dad George Robertson Laidlaw, Uncle Ron's brother-in-law. What a gift he gave me. Sleep in peace Uncle Ron. • I had an opportunity to meet Ron at the Canadian Cancer Society Driver Office several years ago. Although I worked in the office sporadically, I looked forward to seeing Ron and enjoyed his calm, easy going nature. We appreciate his 10 years of dedicated volunteer service. Please know he made a difference in the lives of others on a cancer journey.
