DENA KATZ Dena Katz, beloved wife of Henry, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2012. Besides Henry, she is survived by sister-in-law, Judy Namak, and cousins Rube (Sharon) Ganetsky, Vev Ganetsky, Gerald (Mickey) Namak, and Lee Leven, as well as several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother Avrim Namak, and their parents Sam and Geta. During 56 years of happy marriage, Dena and Henry shared many common interests, such as classical music, opera, theater and dining out; yet each had their individual interests and pastimes. Despite many accidental and health set-backs, Dena never complained or sought sympathy. Her stock answer to how are you? was always I'm fine . Many platitudes could be used to describe her personality, but they can all be summed up in the words of Lorraine, her closest friend of 60 years, she was a LADY . Special heartfelt thanks to Dr. Claudio Rigatto, Irmy Friesen, and the rest of the compassionate doctors, nurses and staff of the P.D. Unit at Seven Oaks General Hospital. Dena was laid to rest November 30 at Rosh Pina Memorial Park with a dignified graveside service conducted by Rabbi Larry Lander.
