ELIZABETH (BETTY) SANDERCOCK (nee KNOX) 1926 - 2012 On Sunday, December 2, 2012 Betty left this world at 86 years of age to join her husband Edgar who predeceased her in July of this year. She leaves to mourn her two children Lynn (Ken) and Mark (Cathy), two grandchildren, Dylan and Meghan, her sister May Marlow of Florida, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in law and her many Pets. Daughter of George and Janet Knox, she was raised in the Opawaka District where she developed her love of; animals, sports and farm life. In 1942 she married Edgar Sandercock and together they mixed farmed outside of Morden. Betty was known for her mild manner, quiet smile, good sportmanship and great humour. Over the years she was a very active member of her Community as a longtime Sunday School teacher and member of the Ladies Auxiliary at St. Paul's United Church; 4H Leader for Thornhill Pleasant Planters Garden Club and volunteer for Morden Recreation Commission as well as Morden Curling Club. Betty's hobbies were many, but she took great joy throughout her life with Baseball, Curling and her Garden. She loved nothing more than curling a good Game. During the Summer Betty was often at local Fairs watching her Family compete at Horse Shows. Known as the Tomato Lady , she grew over 800 plants from seed every Spring until last year. Mom will be sadly missed by her Family and Friends and will always be held close in our Hearts. A private memorial service was held on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Wiebe Funeral Chapel in Morden with ash interment prior at Dunston Cemetery. Special thanks to Dr. Armas and the staff at Boundary Trails Health Centre. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Betty's memory to the Tabor Home Building Fund, 230 9th St. South Morden, MB R6M 1Y3.
