When I think of Phil, I think of the time we were coming back from Falcon LaKe golf course, half in the bag, we stopped at the Trans Canada Hwy, one sign said West Winnipeg, the other sign said East Toronto, after a sort pause Phil, with a smirk, and revving his engine, said "pick a city". I laugh every time I think of that day, I'll Miss you Phil. - Posted by: Jim Kelly (Friend) on: Dec 14, 2012

We are saddened to hear of Phil's passing. Some of us DO remember the 60's. We had so much fun growing up with Phil @ the A&W, partying in his parents basement, at Grand Beach, or at least 15 of us piling into his van at the drive-in movies etc. All good memories of a very funny and generous guy. Our condolences to the family. Suzie and Darryl - Posted by: Suzie & Darryl Radick (friends in Victoria, BC) on: Dec 13, 2012

Phil was truly a great guy, I never saw Phil in a bad mood and who always made me feel like he was genuinely interested in what I had to say (when I know he probably wasn't). The last time I saw Phil was at Lawrie Peterson's wedding, Phil had a crowd around him the entire night and I had to stand in line just to say hello. It seemed like everyone wanted a piece of Phil. Even though I wasn't an extremely close friend of Phil's I will surely miss him like he was. I will always smile when I think of you Phil! - Posted by: James (friend) on: Dec 13, 2012

I remember about 45 years ago, whenever we partied with Phil, he would have us in stitches, laughing so hard, he was the life of the party, and will be missed. - Posted by: Sherron and Jim Kelly (Friends) on: Dec 13, 2012
