JEAN-PAUL LAFOND After a difficult battle with cancer, Jean-Paul Lafond passed away on December 15, 2012, at the age of 77. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Yvette, and his sisters Margaret (Fernand) and Marielle (Yvon), sisters-in-law Rose, Marcelle and Clemence (Guy), brother-in-law Gilles, and numerous nieces, nephews and special friends in Arizona. Jean-Paul was predeceased by his parents, Alphonse and Florida, mother-in-law Ernestine and father-in-law Adelard, sister Therese, and brothers-in-law Romeo, Adelard and Denis. He farmed in La Salle and also worked at Indall Wall Systems. He moved to South Park Estates in 2012. John and his wife spent many good years travelling to Arizona for the past 17 years where they met wonderful friends, enjoying golfing and many happy hours. Thank you to the caregivers on the 4th Floor at the Victoria Hospital for their care and compassion. Also thank you to the family members who sat vigil over Jean-Paul during his last days. Jean-Paul had a heart of gold. We love you Jean-Paul and we will miss your wonderful smile and your sense of humour. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Mary, Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Drive on Thursday, December 20, at 11:00 a.m. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice; the Manitoba Canadian Cancer Society or the Humane Society. Cropo Funeral Chapel, 204-586-8044
