ANNA K. WOODS We remember the life of Dr. Anna K. Woods who would have been 70 years old today. Dr Woods died suddenly in April this year and is survived and loved by her husband John, her son and daughter and three grandchildren. Dr Woods was born in Finland, moved to the UK upon marriage and then to Manitoba in the 1980s. She practiced psychiatry for more than 20 years in Winnipeg. Dr Woods felt rewarded by her work, helping the lives of many. Motivated by a deep appreciation of the natural world, Dr Woods supported animal welfare organizations for many years. It was her wish to be remembered by donations to the Winnipeg Humane Society or the Canadian Wildlife Federation.

  • I was heartbroken when I finally heard about Dr. Woods passing so unexpectedly. She was an excellent doctor and spiritual guide for me when she helped through my schooling and career of choice. If it wasn't for Dr. Wood's guidance I wouldn't have gotten as far today in life and work. She will always be missed. - Posted by: Susan L. Sears (patient) on: Jan 05, 2013

  • It is still so hard to believe that such a brilliant and wonderful person has been taken from the world all too soon.
