JUDITH CHARLOTTE ANNE WOODFIELD (nee FOX) It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden and unexpected passing of Judith Charlotte Anne Woodfield (nee Fox) on December 16, 2012, the day before her 69th birthday. Judy was predeceased by her father Bruce (1961), mother Isabel (2002), brother Don (1998) and sister Pauline (1999). She leaves to mourn her passing daughter Lisa Clark, husband of 46 years Keith, daughter Lisa (Kevin), grandchildren Shelby and Shaun, son Chris Woodfield (Angie), sister Wendy Fox, brother Kevin Fox (partner Kevin), sisters-in-law Linda Fox and Heather Nowak, as well as many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Judy grew up in Transcona and was fondly referred to as Cookie by her friends at Transcona Collegiate Institute. She married Keith in 1966 and eventually headed west with her family spending time in Calgary, Vancouver, Kelowna and then settling in Chilliwack to be near her children. Throughout her life Judy's favourite role was wife, mother and grandmother but she also worked at a number of organizations including Perth's, Canadian National Railways and Canadian Security and Intelligence Service. She enjoyed being a homemaker, loved her crosswords and scratchies and enjoyed an occasional trip to a casino to play the slots. In keeping with Judy's wishes she has been cremated and no service will be held. Please celebrate Judy's life by holding close all the fond memories you may have of her.

Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • My grandma always had the biggest heart and would do anything for us. I remember visiting her in Kelowna and all the great times we shared. I'm glad she moved down to Chilliwack so I could see her more. I'm going to miss her, but I'm honoured to have had the privilege of calling her "grandma". :) - Posted by: Shelby (Granddaughter) on: Jan 09, 2013

  • I am so sad to hear about this. The Johns' and the Fox's lived together in our Grandfather's big house in North Kildonan for a few years before we all moved to Transcona so she was almost like a sister to me. My best to the Family. geo - Posted by: George Johns (Cousin) on: Dec 26, 2012

  • Judy was my cousin who in many ways became like an older sister to me. Smart, fun, stable, considerate - with an honest perspective; everyone liked Judy, she was a great person. She, as Keith, was very gracious and giving of her time to my parents over the years. This will always be appreciated. Savvy, Christina and I have missed Judy in our lives. We say a prayer for Judy and offer our condolences to Keith, Lisa and Chris. - Posted by: Reg Johns (Cousin) on: Dec 25, 2012

  • It's been such a long time since I last saw Judy and so my memories of her are as a joyful, exceptionally bright, very outgoing young girl who was the star pupil in my class. I‘ve thought of her often over the years and I'm saddened to hear of her passing. - Posted by: Ron Wallace (former classmate) on: Dec 24, 2012

  • We crossed paths together many times and I can still hear her laughter witch was contagious. She touched the hearts of many. Sincerly Bill Taylor - Posted by: Bill Taylor (Friend) on: Dec 23, 2012

  • Judy was my bridesmaid and although our lives went in different directions she was one of eight of us school friends who kept in touch over the years. I was shocked and saddened to hear of her passing and will cherish memories of our past. My deepest condolences to Keith, Lisa, Chris, Wendy and Kevin - Posted by: Donna Calder (Life long friend) on: Dec 23, 2012
