Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD ROGER PARE It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Edward to the great lodge above. Ed passed away December 19, 2012 at the Citadel Care Centre in St. Albert, AB. Ed passed with his loving wife, Gladys and son Doug by his side. Ed was born June 18, 1925 in Sedley, SK and spent most of his years in Transcona, MB until relocating to St. Albert. Ed served overseas during the Second World War in the R.C.A.F. and returned to work for the City of Winnipeg Hydro until retirement. He then went on to work for the St. Boniface Hospital. Ed was a very active member of the Khartum Temple and spent many hours in the cage before, during, and after the Shrine Circus in Winnipeg. He was also a member of the Al Shamal Shrine in Edmonton. Ed enjoyed coaching and watching his sons play baseball and hockey as well as traveling around with his trailer in tow. Ed is survived by his loving wife Gladys, having celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this past June. He leaves behind three children Ray (Rachelle) of Sylvan Lake, Janice (Bruce) of Calgary, and Doug (Marnie) of St. Albert. Also left to mourn, his sisters Florence and Jeanette; grandchildren Michael, David, Richard, Jillian, Wendy, Lisa, Breanne, Kathleen and Keaton, and great-grandchildren Cora, Leah, Nicholas, Tyler, Hunter and Raelan. Included are many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Gabriel and Joseph. There will be no service at this time and a celebration of his life will be held at a future time in Winnipeg. Condolences can be sent to the family at drpare@shaw.ca
