GERALDA (PITOUNE) PICHETTE (nee LAFOND) July 9, 1930 - December 28, 2012 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on Friday, December 28, 2012, at St. Boniface Hospital after suffering a lengthy illness. Geralda was the eldest of five children, she knew responsibility and hard work at an early age growing up on the farm in La Salle, MB. She was predeceased by her husband and the love of her life, Francois (Benny) Pichette, her parents Julia and Charles Lafond, and brothers Roland and Jules, and brother-in-law Noel Trudeau. Geralda will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Gerry (Maggie) and Guy (Karen), her grandchildren, Pauline (Paul) Lafreniere, Lise, and Joel (Nicole), her great-grandchildren Eric and Julien who were her pride and joy. Geralda is also survived by her sister Marcelle Trudeau, her brother Claude Lafond (Dora) and sister-in-law Paulette Lafond and many nephews, nieces and friends. Mom cherished her family most of all and looked forward to sharing quality time with each of them. We would like to thank the staff on 3DE for the excellent and compassionate care she received at Actionmarguerite, which she called home since September 2011. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 3, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at Précieux-Sang Roman Catholic Church, 200 Kenny Street, with viewing at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Actionmarguerite, 185 rue Despins, Winnipeg MB R2H 2B3 Cropo Funeral Chapel, 204-586-8044
