Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN WOZNEY It is with sad hearts that the family announces the passing of our loving husband, father, brother and uncle, John Wozney of Teulon, Manitoba on December 30, 2012. John is survived by his wife Marilyn, son David, sisters Marjorie Wozney and Mary Antofichuk; nieces Joan McIntyre (Les) and Marge Willis (Barry); brother-in-law C. A. Miller (Lynne); and many family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Lena and Michael Wozney; his brother Nick Wozney and his in-laws Andrew Antofichuk and Gene and Harold Miller. John was born September 20, 1926, in Foley, MB. He left home at an early age to work in the mines in Northern Ontario. From there he moved to Toronto, ON to apprentice in his uncle's autobody shop. He returned to become the proprietor of Teulon Autobody for many years. Upon retiring he and his wife and son raised Charolais commercial and purebred beef cattle until failing health forced him to retire. John was extremely proud of the improvement in the quality of our beef herd over the years. His greatest enjoyment was travelling to Regina's Western Canadian Agribition in the fall to see the beef cattle, stock dog and ranch horse shows and in the summer camping in our motorhome at the Austin Threshermen's Reunion. He never forgot his farm roots. A celebration of John's life will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, Komarno, MB. Rev. Father Harry Chuckry will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory may be made to the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital Foundation, Teulon, MB or the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, Komarno, MB.
