Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFLORENCE JAGGER (nee COWELL) October 26, 1912 - January 3, 2013 It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Florence Jagger at 100 years of age on January 3, 2013. Left to cherish her memory are: her daughter, Eleanor Dupasquier, Vernon, BC; her son, Edwin Jagger (Ann), Winnipeg; and her daughter-in-law, Marion Jagger, Winnipeg. She is predeceased by her husband Edwin (Ted) in 1997 and her son, Robert in 2008 and her grandson David in 1969. She is also survived by her grandchildren Debbie Dupasquier (Jeff Olensky), Lisa Yeremian (Ara), Pamela Jagger (Adam Lowe), Trisha Jagger, Elaine Angus (Jamie) and Janice Jagger. There are six great-grandchildren, Taline and Arden Yeremin, Graeme and Maeve Jagger and Jack and Henry Angus. Florence is survived by her brother Stephen (Ottawa) and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Ethel, Eleanor, Peggy and Lillian and her brothers, Thomas and Charlie. Florence lived all her life in Winnipeg. She was employed by the Manitoba Government Department of Labour retiring in 1975 after 15 years of service. Upon retirement she enjoyed volunteer work at Age Opportunity for 20 years and was an active member of The Golden Rule Seniors Club (Fort Rouge). Florence was an avid 5 Pin Bowler and enjoyed the game of Cribbage and Bingo. On October 26, 2012, she reached the milestone of 100 years and celebrated with family. The family wish to thank the staff at The Poseidon Care Centre for their excellent care of Mom during the last year. Cremation has taken place. As Mom requested, no formal funeral be held, a private family service and burial will occur at a later date.
