ANNA (DUFOUR) MORIER (nee LARAMEE) Anna Louise Morier (nee Laramee) was born November 1, 1920 in St. Eustache, Manitoba. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Anna on December 31, 2012 with family at her side. Anna was predeceased by her parents Hermenegilde and Beatrice Laramee, her brother Louis Laramee, sister Blanche Greening, sons-in-law Frank Wimmer, Eugene Lysak and Norman Neitz. She is survived by four siblings Lucienne Guay, Laura Birdsall, Leo (May) Laramee and Alice Leclerc. Anna will be lovingly remembered by four daughters; Jeanine Wimmer, Celine Lysak, Patricia Neitz from Calgary, Rachelle (Jerry) Kapustiak, her two sons, Roger (Betty) Dufour of Rivers, MB, Paul (Ola) Dufour, 21 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Anna was raised and lived in St. Eustache, MB. She married Omer Dufour October 23, 1942 and they moved to Winnipeg where they raised their family together for 17 years. She was a strong and determined soul for her children and finished the task of raising her children as a single parent as best she could. Having an empty nest, she worked at Chicken Delight for a few years till she met her second husband and married on July 25, 1980. They shared 25 happy years together travelling, enjoying all family functions, going to the legion on Saturday nights and dancing till she was 87 at which time her hearing and sight began to fail. Anna was devoted to her family and respected their life decisions without any interference. She could be counted on for her sound advice delivered with a sense of humour by word or expression which all her children inherited from her. The family wish to extend their gratitude to the staff on the 3rd floor of Residence Despins for their wonderful support and friendship which she enjoyed for almost two years. Special thanks to all the staff at Foyer Valade Care Home for their kindness and compassion. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Interment to follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Anna to Jocelyn House Hospice or a charity of your choice. God has you in His arms; we have you in our hearts. We love you. We miss you.
