GEORGE DUNCAN WOOD George Duncan Wood passed away in Campbell River, BC on Friday, January 4, 2013 at the age of 89. Predeceased by his beloved wife and best friend, Barbara in 2003; sisters Frances and brother Peter; George is survived by wonderful daughter Deborah and great-sons Duncan and Drew (Tao); priceless grandchildren Caroline and Tal; wonderful extended family Lisa; and special sister Katharine (Dick). George was born in Winnipeg, served in the R.C.N.V.R. in the Second World War and practiced as a Chartered Accountant in Winnipeg and Prince George. Barbara and George retired in Campbell River in 1997 for the last few of many great years. "Thanks Barb, for the best years of my life!" According to George's wishes, a private family gathering will be held at a later date. Cremation to take place.
