JUAN ANTONIO NAVARRO December 5, 1945 - January 9, 2013 It is with our deepest sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father Juan on January 9, 2013, at Seven Oaks Hospital after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 67. Juan leaves to mourn his wife Elizabeth, sons Francisco and Marcelo (Sharon), and daughter Sandra (Ken), as well as family in Chile. He was born in Lago Ranco, Chile, moving to the town of Valdivia, Chile where he met his wife. Dad worked as an accountant in Chile before immigrating to Canada with his young family. In Winnipeg, Juan worked various jobs until settling in at Winnipeg Transit where he worked for over 20 years before retiring in 2007. We would like to thank the staff at St. Boniface Hospital, CancerCare Centre and the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for all their care and support. We would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Fatoye for all his care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Juan's memory to CancerCare Manitoba. Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 14, 2013, at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at 7:00 p.m. with a private interment to be held at a later date. 204-586-8044

Condolences & Memories (9 entries)

- Posted by: Daniela (Sobrina) on: Oct 01, 2013

  • As an immigrant from Chile, I regret the passing of one compatriota on foreign land. May God give him peace and to his family here and in Chile, comfort in their losse. To the family, I would like to ask if they know about the Navarro's roots. I would like in the future to learn and exchange information. My grandfather had 10 sibilings that grow up in between Chillan and Concepcion in Chile (early 1900's). - Posted by: Eduardo D. Navarro (Unknown Compatriota) on: Jan 19, 2013
