Condolences & Memories (7 entries)

  • Alright Beano this is the third time I am going to try this entry. I will forever hold you in my heart. I love you and miss you. You were an awesome big brother. I was honored to be a part of your life. You will also always continue to be a part of my life; I cannot and will not ever let you go. Blessings to you as you walk happily in Heaven. Please look down on me once in awhile. Till we meet again. - Posted by: Carol Sakwi (Cadjo) (sister) on: Mar 18, 2013

  • I met "beano" on the Palliative Care ward at the St. Boniface Hospital. My father was living his final days and while we spent all of our waking hours ensuring that my dad had company with him, it was Beano that my dad would call and have chats with when we weren't there. Beano shared his life story and was very proud of the fact that he was featured in the Jocelyn House newsletter. His eyes would soften whenever he spoke of his daughters, their accomplishments-including his grandchildren, and how very blessed he felt he was to have been honoured with their presence and unconditional love here on earth. I am sorry to hear about his passing and have often thought about him since my dad's passing. Godspeed Beano and I hope you and my dad are enjoying more of those conversations together in Heaven. - Posted by: Lia Baksina (Palliative Care buddy) on: Jan 21, 2013

  • I was saddened to hear of "Beano's" passing. In the short time that I knew him, through my mother's residency at Jocelyn House, he always had a smile on his face and kind words to say. He was a character and a true charmer. He will be missed by many and I was touched by his life story. My condolences to his family and friends. He was one-in-a-million. - Posted by: Rosel Holden (daughter of Anna Hoppe (past-resident Jocelyn House)) on: Jan 21, 2013
