DR. HARRY WONG MD.CM, CCFP 1961 2013 On Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at home in Montreal, QC, Harry passed away peacefully at the age of 51 from complications of longstanding Multiple System Atrophy ( Parkinson's Plus. ). He was the beloved husband and best friend of Dr. Wendy Chiu; youngest son of Mr. George Park Toy Wong and the late Mrs. May Gui Wong of Winnipeg, MB; little brother of Jim (Rita) Wong, Helen (Rick) Lees and Anne Wong of Winnipeg, MB, and Florence (Tom) Harrison and Fred (Phuong) Wong of Calgary, AB; Uncle Harry to Sarah Wong (Roland Leung, son Tyson), Jennifer (Rob, daughter Sophie) Weir, Erin Lees (Alain Guilmette) and Nicolas Lees, Michelle Harrison and Eric Harrison, Amanda Wong, Melissa Richards and Anya Chiu; son/brother-in-law of Drs. Ray Chu Jeng and Jane Chiu and Dan (Lisa) Chiu; and cats Ming and the late Barky's favourite lap. Sincere thanks to Dr. Paul Lysy for years of compassionate primary care; Dr. Anne-Louise Lafontaine MGH Neurology; Dr. Louis Lepage and Johanne Saeto RN of CSSS de la Montagne Palliative home care; Eugenia Bugauisan LPN and others of Equinoxe LifeCare; the CLSC Metro home care team; the Dominique Voyer pharmacy team; and many others past and present. Thanks also to our families, friends and colleagues for your support and understanding over the years, each helping in your own special way. A memorial service will be held in Montreal at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 chemin de la ForĂȘt, Outremont QC 514-279-6540 (www.mountroyalcem.com) on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 1:00 p.m., followed by a reception onsite. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome in Harry's memory to Parkinson Society Canada (www.parkinson.ca) or a charity close to your own heart. Harry was an optimist, a kind and gentle soul, a much loved husband, son, brother, uncle and friend. Yam Fur ever, may you rest in peace.
