ADELINE LILY RITCHIE (nee JAWORKSI) At age 71, with her family by her side, Adeline peacefully passed away on Monday January 7, 2013, at the Victoria General Hospital. Adeline is survived by her husband Ken Ritchie (her rock), sister Rose Salo (Kitchener, ON), son Tony Jeffers, daughters Shelley Jeffers (Gord Meger) and Trish Buhr (Michael) and their father John Jeffers, grandchildren Edison Buhr (Brittany Neskar), Jillian Buhr, and Ian Meger, as well as her nieces and nephews. Adeline will forever be remembered by everyone for her sense of humour, as blunt and unique as it was and her "colorful vocabulary". Her passions were "speed-reading" novels (thousands of novels) and a love of adopting dogs. She cared for her family as a working mother and managed to succeed. She was able to enjoy several years of retirement in Arizona. Adeline was very entertaining and enjoyed a good party. She will be lovingly missed by all of her family and friends as well as by the staff of Vista Park Lodge who were fond of her. A BIG thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Lodge as well as at Victoria General Hospital. Donations can be made in Adeline's memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 14, 2013, at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg MB.
