Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVERNON GEORGE THOMPSON May 16, 1954 - January 7, 2013 It is with deep sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Vernon on January 5, 2013. He was only 58 years old. Vernon is survived by his loving mother, Ruth, three daughters, Michelle (Mark) their children Dakota and Aaron; Allison (Keith) their children Gavin, Chloe and Alexis; Bailey (Jason) their daughter Brooklyn; sisters, Marlene Knight, Joan (Alan) Mason and Audrey (Clarence) Recksiedler and brother Murray (Myrna). He was predeceased by his father George and sister Loralee. Vernon enjoyed farm life and was very mechanically inclined. He also worked as a custom harvester. He was very knowledgeable and enjoyed working with the latest technology. Harley Motorcycles were his passion and riding his Harley was a favorite pastime. Vernon will be remembered by his family and many friends for his kindness, generosity and sense of humour. He will be missed more than he could have ever known! A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 14, 2013, at Springs Church, 595 Lagimodiere Blvd. In lieu of tributes, donations can be made to the charity of one's choice. I really wish that I got to know you, I think that we would’ve really gotten along. It really sucks that I was only three when you died and don’t even remember meeting you. I only really remember small parts of your funeral. You seem like you would have been a great person to talk to/spend time with and I’m sad that I never got the chance to.
