Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE JUST Anne left this world on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, to join her beloved daughter Joycelyn and her husband John who she shared 51 years of marriage with. Left to mourn are her children Marcel (Myra), Ron (Gaye), Doug (June), Donna (Cloren), Garry (Shirley), Raelene (John), Owen (Theresa), Darwin (Lorraine), Bryan (Merle), 20 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren, sisters Helen and Heidi and numerous nieces and nephews. Anne was born in Bruno, Saskatchewan, on July 27, 1914. Together she and her husband John farmed and spent the first 15 years of their married life in Bruno, SK. They later moved to Dauphin and following the death of John, Anne moved to Winnipeg. Anne was an amazing person with an extremely positive attitude, no matter how tough times were. Farm life was never easy, not to mention two house fires where everything the family had was lost. Anne always understood what was important to her family. Making regular sacrifices, Anne learned how to make do with little or nothing for most of her life. Having said that, she was extremely talented at working with what she did have. Some of her favorite pastimes included reading, gardening, sewing and quilting. Loss of her vision did not stop her or slow her down. She still found a way to continue with her crafts, cook and be self-sufficient, right up to the last six months of her life. Her attitude and philosophy were such that just because circumstances are preventing me from doing something the way I have always have done it does not mean that I can't figure out another way to accomplish it . Throughout the years she collected many adopted children (usually friends of the family) whom she leaves behind as well. She loved to talk and could discuss most any subject that came up. Deepest thanks to all who loved her and a special thanks to the staff at the Misercordia Health Center where she spent her remaining time. A celebration of her journey on earth will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at St. Ignatius Church, 255 Stafford Avenue, Winnipeg. Aunt Annie lived with such passion that she lifted the rest of us with inspiration-a real woman. We share your loss which must be as big as Aunt Annie's heart. Aunt Anne will always be remembered and loved. One of her legacies is the beautiful quilts that she made for each and everyone of us and our children, her quilts are works of art and will be handed down from generation to generation. I met Anne at her residence on Donwood. I found her to be very pleasant and she knew what she wanted done when it came to cleaning her home. I was amazed at how well she managed on her own. She was her own woman. I heard she "Just" made the best apple pies. I know her family will miss her very much. I am glad that I met this wonderful lady.
