GORDON RONALD DUPUIS With great sadness the family announces the passing of Gordon Dupuis (80 years) on January 5, 2013. Gordon passed away at the Victoria Hospital with the blessings of having his loving wife Donna by his side and surrounded by family members. Gordon married Donna, his childhood sweetheart, 58 years ago. They have three sons Michael (Judith), Brian, and Donald (Allison). He will be forever missed by his grandchildren: Andrea, Benjamin, Chelsea, Jorel, Chandra and Travis. Gordon is survived by his sisters Joan (Wally deceased) Bjarnason and Michele (Bob) Drew. Many happy moments were shared with his in-laws Norman and Lynne Claydon, Mark and Denise Claydon along with many nieces, and nephews, and Lori, the daughter he never had. Gordon was born in Winnipeg on July 31, 1932 and lived his entire life in the city he loved so well. He attended Daniel McIntyre Collegiate where he excelled in football. He supported the football program at Daniel McIntyre through the Maroons Alumni, regularly meeting with his colleagues. Gordon began his career with C.P. Rail as a draftsman moving to Crane Plumbing until joining his father in the construction business. Gordon continued operating R. J. Dupuis Construction until he retired in 1995. Gordon had many canine friends over the years. In his retirement he enjoyed summers at the cottage, fishing, walking the dogs and socializing with friends and family. In accordance with his wishes, there will not be a funeral service. Friends and family will have an opportunity to gather for a celebration of his life at Middle Lake in the summer of 2013. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages a donation to Project C432 which Gordon supported through Mission Aviation Fellowship Canada, 1-877-351-9344.
