Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALICIA MIESKES (nee CHOLON / PIOTROWSKI) On January 12, 2013 at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Alicia Mieskes, beloved wife of Alfred passed away at the age of 82 years. Besides her husband Alfred, Alicia is survived by her daughter, Christine Shain (Gord) of Calgary, AB, son Richard Cholon (Carol) of Kelowna, BC, as well as her grandchildren, Curtis (Helen), Kyle, Rana, Kaitlyn and Laura, and great-grandchild Liam. She also leaves to mourn her passing brother John Piotrowski and nephews and nieces, Joe (Wanda), Jean (Pat), Mary (Ed). She was predeceased by her first husband Anthony Cholon, and brothers Joseph and William. The family would like to thank the staff at the Seven Oaks Hospital for their care towards Alicia. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Dear Alfred: I was saddened to hear of Alice's passing. My mother, Mary Szajewski, and Alice worked together for many years. I sent a Christmas card and it was returned so I was wondering if you had moved. I was out of the country and have just returned.
