KATHRYN (KAY) OSTOFY Kathryn (Kay) Ostofy was born to Nicholas and Maria Zacopec on November 22, 1917 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Kay passed away peacefully at Vancouver General Hospital on January 8, 2013. She was predeceased by her beloved husband John and daughter Maureen. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Judy Talas (Peter), nieces Vicki (Roger) Marce and Louise (Randy) Eadie and cousin Joan (Emil) Sikorsky along with other relatives and good friends such as Mary Zyloway. Kay will be remembered as a loving wife and mother who was devoted to her family. Kay was a strong, caring, faith-based person who loved life and especially enjoyed being with friends and family. She struggled with dementia and ill health for the past five years and was always thankful to everyone for their assistance. We will cherish her memory and she will always be in our hearts. VICHNAYA PAMYAT A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 18, 2013 at St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 550 W. 14th Ave. Vancouver, BC at 11:00 a.m. Basilian Fathers officiating with a reception to follow at the church.
