Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryESTHER RUTH LEVIN Esther Levin passed away unexpectedly, after a short illness, on the morning of January 14, 2013 at Mt. Sinai Hospital. Esther was an extraordinary mother, aunt, sister, daughter, and friend. She is survived by her son Dana, whom she loved dearly and who in myriad ways gave her lots of nachas. Esther grew up in the North End of Winnipeg. She was a graduate of Luxton School, St. John's High School, and the University of Winnipeg. She received her Masters of Environmental Studies from York University and a Master's of Industrial Relations at OISE. For many years, until her death, she worked as executive assistant to the Chair of the Toronto District School Board. Esther grew deep roots in the Seaton Village neighbourhood where she lived for over 20 years. She was always active, always involved with people, often cooking and baking for the many events, both joyful and sad, for family and friends which she so valued. She was a lover of bright colours, bracelets, and dangly earrings. She is survived by her son Dana, her mother Myrna Levin, her sister Julie Levin and brother-in-law Larry Dworkin, her brother Michael Levin and sister-in-law Ruth Mann, her brother Jonathan, her brother Daniel Levin and sister-in-law, Lilian Bonin, her aunts Zoe Gropper and Gladys Rose, and her many well-loved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
