Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJESSIE DOROTHY HUGHES July 4, 1922 - January 12, 2013 Jessie is survived by her daughter Janis McCullough, grandson Lance (Michelle) McCullough, and daughter Valerie (Murray) Kruchak and Tyler. She was born in St. James, MB, then moved to BC where she was a long time resident of Parkwood Manor in Coquitlam. A Memorial Service will take place on February 22, 2013 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB. A longer obituary to follow at a later date.

I grew up with the Hughes across the street. I continued to communicate with her while looking after my Dad, and even after he passed away at 89 years of age. She was a vibrant, intelligent, and very beautiful woman. It is an honour and a privilege to have known her. My deepest sympathies to Janis and Valerie, and their families. Jessie was married to my cousin Robert Hughes who served as District Chief for the Wpg. Fire Dept. They were both very happy to continue living in St. James until the death of Robert on his return from a false alarm fire. - Posted by: Robert Watkins (Cousin -in-law) on: Jan 22, 2013
