OLGA BARNESKY Olga Barnesky (nee Gawryluk) passed away peacefully on January 17, 2013, after 33 days of extreme hardships for herself and family. Mom was born on June 3, 1923, and married Alex Barnesky on November 21, 1942. They farmed in the Birdtail area until their retirement to Rossburn in 1985. Dad passed away on January 15, 1999. Mom sold her house in September 2011, and moved into the Lady of Fatima. She enjoyed her stay there visiting with old friends and neighbours. Mom said that she should have moved in there earlier. Mom and Dad had seven children Jerry, Harvey, Wilbert (Phyllis), Beatrice, Raymond (Brenda). Darryl (Cindy), and Glen (who died in 1962). There are seven grandchildren Angie (Kyne), Darren (Quincy), Pamela (Warren), Loretta, Michael, Annette and Lyddie. There are nine great-grandchildren Anneli, Tristen, John, Reilly, Vaughn, Boston, Daxon, Ryden, and Desten. Desten was born on December 28 while Mom was in Saskatoon Hospital. Mom is survived by her three sisters Ann Reid, Marty Burgess and Millie Azad. The family would like to thank our sister Beatrice for being with Mom at her bedside in Saskatoon for 25 days. The family is planning on a reunion in July for the grandchildren and great-grandchildren to visit the cemetery and the old homestead. They will not be at the funeral. The interment with family and pallbearers will take place at Pete's Lake Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. prior to the church service. Funeral services will be held in the Rossburn Community Church on Friday, January 25, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. followed by lunch at the Ukrainian National Home. Rae's Funeral Service is in charge.
