MATHILDE DUFAULT / WEISENSEL March 8, 1921 - January 17, 2013 It is with deep sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Mathilde Weisensel on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Unite Marguerite at Foyer Valade, at the age of 91. Lovingly remembered, Mathilde will be greatly missed by her children; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters Gabrielle and Cecile, and sisters-in-law, Annette, Juliette and Aurelie. Mathilde was previously married to Ovila Dufault from Ste. Rose du Lac. There they raised their children. The family began with twins, Donald (Amay) and Claude (Doris), followed by Eveline (Bob), Gerald (Denise), Emile (Vera, deceased), Armand, Lucienne (infant, deceased), Cyril deceased (Lucille) and Claire (Eldon). Ovila passed away in 1960 and Mathilde married Harold in 1964, moving the family to Dauphin, MB. In 1965 they welcomed a son, Neil (Rachel) into their world. Mathilde was an inspiration to her family as well as to the many people around her. All who knew her admired her courage, faith and strength in the face of adversity. Besides raising a big family, she continued with her various interests and talents. Her art has been compiled into a book for future generations to enjoy. Funeral Liturgy will be Celebrated on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Vital Roman Catholic Church, 1629 Pembina Hwy. with Rev. Fr. Barry Schoonbaert, presiding. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Lana and the very caring staff at Unite Marguerite. Bless you for taking such good care of our Mother. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mathilde's name to a charity of your choice. Richard Wojcik, Funeral Director of Wojcik's Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, is in care of arrangements 204-897-4665.
