CHRISTIAN ISOBEL CLARKE (nee CORKISH) Peacefully on Sunday, January 20, 2013, after battling cancer, Isobel passed away at the Grace Hospital at the age of 90. Isobel is predeceased by her husband John Milton (Jack) (1984) and her sister May Quilliam (1996). She will be greatly missed by her brother John (Dorothy), son John (Pauline), her grandchildren Kelly, Bonnie (Myron), Christi, Keri, step-granddaughter Veronique, and her great-grandchildren Zack, Amanda, Zane, John, Megan and Emma. Isobel will also be remembered fondly by her friends. A war bride from the Isle of Man, Isobel was a strong and generous woman who will be remembered as one who went out of her way to help others. After the passing of her husband, with her friend Margaret Follett, she would begin delivering Meals On Wheels and did so for 20 plus years. She loved to travel and tried to take at least one trip a year to somewhere in the world, played golf, bowled, went line dancing, took Tae Chi lessons, and drove until shortly after her 90th birthday. We will especially miss her strength of character and her love of life has inspired all that have known her. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private, close family memorial to celebrate her life will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Red Cross or to another charity of your choice.
