LAWRENCE McLEOD September 29, 1928 January 23, 2013 Peacefully, with his family at his side, Lawrence passed away on January 23, 2013. Born in Lundar, MB, Lawrence moved to Winnipeg with his bride, Edna in 1956. Their son Larry was born soon after. They made their home in a house on Linden Avenue where son Leon and daughters Lynn and Leanne followed. They remained in their home on Linden for the next 50 years. Dad had a hand in the construction of many buildings in Winnipeg as a mason. Dad loved to hunt and fish and tend to the garden and yard. He spent many hours cutting wood and loved sitting by the fire listening to his favourite fiddle music at The Trailer in Lundar. He was predeceased by his sons Larry and Leon. He will be deeply missed by his wife Edna, daughters Lynn (Pat) and Leanne (Mike) and grandchildren Kelly, Marie, Kyle, Ryan, Madelyn, Jacob and Joshua. He will also be missed by his sisters Louise (Roy) and Lillian, brother Lloyd, as well as many friends and family. Special thanks to the staff at River East Personal Care Home for the excellent care and compassion given to Dad and the friendship extended to Mom during his time there. Many thanks to all who have extended their heartfelt condolences. A private family interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's' Society of Manitoba.
