Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySONIA GLADYS DOLYNCHUK (nee YARMIE) September 5, 1929 - January 23, 2013 Peacefully with her husband John by her side our mother Sonia passed away at the Tudor House Nursing Home in Selkirk, MB. Mom was born to Wasyl and Doris Yarmie. She grew up in Tolstoi, MB where she met and married our dad. Soon after they moved to Winnipeg where they raised their three children. Mom was employed at various jobs through the years as a store clerk and cashier, but her real passion was travelling. Together Mom and Dad travelled throughout Canada and the United States. She especially liked Hawaii. They enjoyed numerous trips to Las Vegas and were fortunate enough to spend many winters in their retirement trailer in Mesa, AZ. Mom also loved baseball when both her sons Zane and Randy played and later on her grandson Dean, she never missed a game. But most of all Mom loved her Toronto Blue Jays . Everything came to a stop at the Dolynchuk's when they were playing. Mom was predeceased by her parents and her only brother, Maurice Yarmie. She is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, John, her sons Zane (Violet), Randy (Melissa), her daughter Cheryl Kaziw (Ervin). She is also survived by six grandchildren Tara Martin (Brian), Dana Clarkson (Duane), Dean Kaziw (Nikki), Bryce Brink-Dolynchuk, Kianna Dolynchuk and Leah Dolynchuk, two great-grandchildren Cash Clarkson and Sophie Martin. Our family wishes to thank the staff at Tudor House Nursing Home for their loving care given to our mother during the time she lived there. We are forever grateful. No formal service will be held at this time. According to her wishes Mom has been cremated. A family interment will take place in the Spring. Rest in Peace Mom - We Love You
