ALICE WALTERS (nee MUZYCHKA) November 2, 1923 - January 24, 2013 With sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Alice Walters, formerly of Winnipeg, on Thursday, January 24, 2013, in Calgary, AB. Alice's memory will be cherished by her children, Gordon (Wendy), Barbara and Susan (Terence); and her grandchildren, Grant (Julie), Andrew, Kaeleigh and Jennifer. She will be fondly remembered by her sister Stella and brothers Walter and Ernie (Denise) and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Peter in 1980, parents Metro and Mary, and brother Russell. A remembrance of Alice's life will be held at a later date in Winnipeg. If friends so desire, donations may be made directly to your local Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor's choice. The family would like to thank the staff on the 1100 Court at McKenzie Towne for the kindness and care given to Mom for the last couple of years. Also, special thanks to the nurses and nurses' aides of Unit 81 at Foothills Medical Centre and to palliative care nurses Nancy and Genevieve for their compassion and caring over these last few weeks.
