EDITH ANNE SHINN (nee POOLE) September 14, 1913 - December 27, 2012 With deep sorrow we announce the passing of Edith Anne, age 99 years at Eagle Ridge Hospital in Port Moody, BC, beloved wife of George William for 74 years. Edith is survived by son Robert, brother Ken (Judy), sisters Lillian and Lorraine (Joe), sister-in-law Bernice Poole; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband George (2009), son Donald (1992), parents Emily and Robert, brothers Alan, Lawrence, Robert, sisters Dolly, Allison and Arlene. Edith was born in Winnipeg and after many happy years the family moved to Burnaby, BC in 1967 to follow George in a transfer with Shell Canada. Besides being a wonderful mother and good friend, she was a great bridge player, loved cooking and enjoyed bonspiel curling over the years. The family sends a warm thank you to the many relatives, friends and special friend Thelma (Lorne) for their support and compassion. Also special thanks to her niece Gerry and husband Fred for always being there for Edith. No service by request and a private celebration of Edith's life to follow. Love you forever Mother
