Gramps and I hadn't spoken for several years before he became ill. When I found out he was in Riverview Health Center I started to visit him every week, then several times a week, then almost every day. I learned more, and saw a side of my grandpa that I never knew existed. He was very proud, very strong, and very wonderful. The things him and I spoke about on our visits will be with me for the rest of my life. I learned so many things about him that I never knew. I was holding his hand when he passed away, and I will always cherish that memory. His final words were of him telling me how proud he was of me, but that it was time for him to go dancing with his Molly (my Nana). Thank you for everything gramps, I hope you can see all that you have done for me. I love you. - Posted by: Christopher Bissett (Grandson) on: Sep 26, 2013

I loved my Grandpa.Though I hadn't seen or talked to him in a really long time I thought of him with a smile. My fondest memory is when he came to Victoria to visit me after Nana died. He taught me how to change my own oil in my car.I never met Florence but he said she made him happy and that's all that mattered. Bye Grandpa. - Posted by: Kathleen Bellamano (granddaughter) on: Feb 08, 2013

I have known Lloyd Bissett (pops) since the age of 15. For a few years I was his daughter in law, and though I stopped being his daughter in law, I still knew him as my Pops. Over the years we have had many conversations, shared many memories and had many laughs. Pop had a good sence of humour. He was a good husband and a good father. He always had time to go hunting or fishing with his boys, and he was very proud of the men they had become. Rest in peace Pop. You are entering a new journey. God speed. - Posted by: Gloria Campos (close friend) on: Feb 06, 2013

I knew Lloyd from the Reh-fit Centre, and while he pretended to be gruff, underneath he was funny and interesting and a real sweetie. We enjoyed celebrating his birthday with him at the Reh-fit and all missed him when he no longer came to walk the track. While we are sad that he's gone, we are happy to have known him and proud to have been his friends. - Posted by: Jeryl Burr (friend) on: Feb 04, 2013
