JOHN WALTER MOAN 1927 - 2013 Passed away in his sleep at home early Saturday morning, January 26, 2013 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of the late Rita Moan (McCovic). Predeceased by his parents Tarald and Anna, 11 brothers and sisters and the dear mother of his children, Adele Moan. He will be greatly missed by his devoted daughters Nancy Martin (Dan) and Valerie Moan and his cherished grandsons Patrick and Trevor Fennessy. Born in Inwood MB, John became a proud member of the RCAF for 25 years, then worked until retirement at Douglass Laboratory Services. Fondly remembered by a multitude of nieces (especially Kiya ) and nephews, extended family, relatives in Norway, and all who knew him. Special thanks to the staff and residents at Elmsmere Place for every act of kindness and caring. Cremation and a private family interment are planned. In remembrance, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. www.mcgarryfamily.ca

  • I want to pass along condolences on behalf of my mom Carole Neve (Kiya) and her family. Uncle Johnny was my mom's last uncle to pass. He was her favorite and most beloved uncle, but honestly, she dearly loved all of her aunts and uncles. She always speaks highly of him with a big smile on her face.   • Nancy, Valerie and Family, My sincere sympathy in the loss of your dad. I have many fond memories of Uncle Johnny, remembering mostly his kindness and his contagious laugh. He was a wonderful man and he will be missed by everyone who knew him. He reminded me very much of my own dad (Uncle Olaf). They had a lot of similar traits.
