During the last months we tried several times to call Alina at home. But nobody picked up the phone and then we realized that something must have happened. Finally we searched the internet and found this sad news. We are her German relatives and we shared a lot of interesting, warm and funny moments with her during her visits here in Germany. We remember her 65. birthday, that we all celebrated together at her aunt's place (Ida Albrecht). A very special moment was also the trip to Poland Alina did together with Margarethe and Kurt. They visited all her childhood places and then also found the "Albrecht-house" where her grandparents came from. We will always keep her in our memories. I will always cherish the memories of Sunday night Rouladens (Roll-ons), how quick you were to yell 'Rummy' on us after dinner, and how intense your smile was when beating the pants off us youngins'. - Posted by: Ryan Duncan () on: Feb 06, 2013

We shared alot of stories and had great visits over the years and we will treasure her memory always. She loved bowling and going to the casino (we had our favorite 5 cent machines by the waterfall at Club Regent) going out for a good meal, going out for a drive (with someone else doing the driving part Thankfully) played cards albeit creatively and she loved to travel and was a great cook. She was very nuturing and helped to care for her aging parents and also nursed her husband in his final years at home. She spent countless hours knitting hats, scarves and mittens that she donated and was happy to see her work on occasion while walking or taking the bus. She was a sweet soul, may she rest in peace Ruhe Sanft - Posted by: Heidi Steinke (niece) on: Feb 05, 2013

I wish we had time for one more vodka together. God Bless Alina and my love to the family. She was always a kind woman to me who shared her witty sense of humor. - Posted by: Dale Olnick (friend) on: Feb 04, 2013
