MARVIN BJORGVIN ALBERTSON December 10, 1940 - February 2, 2013 With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Marvin, at the age of 72, at the Gimli Community Health Centre. Left to cherish his memory are his brother Albert; sisters Sigurlin (Lloyd), Sigvaldason, Arlene (Ken) Peterson and brother-in-law Ingvar Karvelson along with numerous nieces and nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Bjorgvin and Lena Albertson; sisters Florence Albertson and Doreen Karvelson; a sister in infancy and great-niece Anna Johnson. Marvin was born in Gimli, MB and lived all his life in Arnes, MB at the family homestead Mel. He attended the North Arnes School and farmed all of his life there. Family and friends meant the most to Marvin. He loved family gatherings and you would often meet him on the highway on his way to have coffee with his coffee buddies. Marvin will be forever in our hearts. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gimli Lutheran Church with Pastor Les Skonnard officiating. A private family burial will be at a later date. The family wishes to thank Dr. R. C. Pytel and the nurses and staff at the Gimli Community Health Centre for their wonderful care, kindness and compassion shown to Marvin. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marvin's memory to the Arnes Cemetery, Box 94 Arnes, MB R0C 0C0.
