                            CHARLES (CHARLIE) JOSEPH MOUSSEAU
Date of Passing: Feb 02, 2013
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLES (CHARLIE) JOSEPH MOUSSEAU June 16, 1948 - February 2, 2013 It is with heavy hearts that the family of Charlie Mousseau announces his peaceful passing on Saturday, February 2, 2013 in Perfect (Mesa, AZ) surrounded by loved ones. He will be deeply missed by his wife, partner and best friend Jean, daughter, Lisa (Steve Ashworth, children Julie and Graeme) and son, Chuck (Rhiannon, children Luke and Elizabeth). He is also survived by his siblings, Don (Lorna), Anita (Phil), Lise (Garth), Denis LeGros (Margaret) and sister-in-law, Ida, brothers-in-law, Bill (Marilyn) and Rick as well as nephews and nieces, Marc, Christopher, Tammy, Nicole, Colin, Neil, Haley, Kristopher and Kristina and his life-long friends Roger and Edie Pujo and Lorraine and Dennis Ashworth and many other extended family members and friends too numerous to mention. He was predeceased by his mother, Gabrielle, father, Esdras, brother, Normand and father-in-law, Dick Davis. Charlie was born and raised in St. Boniface, MB and attended Provencher School. Upon leaving school, he spent a lifetime learning and deepening his knowledge of the swimming pool industry. He began his career at Jacuzzi Pumps, went on to PAC Sales and later moved to Sun Valley Pools. In 1980, he moved his family to Calgary and shortly thereafter began his own pool business, CL Marketing, named after Chuck and Lisa. It progressed from his basement, to renting three bays, and finally to building his own office and warehouse. His business model was simple: provide excellent service, keep your word, and a handshake is good enough. To him, CL Marketing was more than a place to work; it was his family and it meant the world to him. He always displayed kindness, caring, and a high degree of integrity. He would help anyone in need. His generosity knew no boundaries and excluded no one. He was very proud of the work he did setting up a water purification system in Belize, Central America, as well as the Annual Tabex Golf Classic, held for thirteen years with all proceeds going to the Burn Unit of the Foothills Hospital. Charlie was always grateful for the incredible care afforded to him by the Tom Baker Cancer Centre. A special thank you to Dr. Desiree Hao, Dr. J.P. Veroney and Lisa Lamont. They became friends due to their unwavering support along his journey. Because of his tenacity and his zeal to live, he was invited to be a guest speaker at the last CancerCare conference where his presentation gave hope and inspiration to individuals afflicted with cancer. Growing up, and as an adult, the family cottage at Bird River, MB held a special place in his heart. It is the setting for some of the wonderful memories and stories we share and cherish. Charlie's favourite place to be in the world was in his chair, on his patio, under his heat lamp, watching his humming birds Hummy and Zoomy, in Perfect (Mesa, AZ). Charlie was such a good spokesperson for Perfect that many friends and family were enticed to join him in Mesa. Charlie's passion for the Calgary Flames was known to all. If he wasn't flying the Calgary Flames flag, he was wearing his jersey and hat or watching them on Pay-per-View TV. In lieu of flowers, if friends and family so desire, donations in Charlie's memory can be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation-Lung Cancer Care, Foothills Hospital Burn Ward, or to any other charity of their choosing. Charlie, we miss you and you have left a hole in our hearts. We look forward to the day when we will be reunited. Forever in our memory. Kiss Kiss, Hug Hug, Pepere. We love you.
