Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARALAMPOS (BOB) SARANTOPOULOS June 2, 1948 - February 6, 2013 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father and grandfather on February 6, 2013 with his loved ones at his side. Bob was predeceased by his father Yiannis and his mother Angeliki. Bob leaves to celebrate his memory his loving wife Vasiliki, his son John and his daughters Angie (Tony), Kathy (Giovanni), and Michelle (Jay) as well as his six grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brother Peter and sisters Georgia, Dina and Noula, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Bob came to Canada in 1966 in search of a new adventure and to start a family. He will always be remembered for his big heart, his kindness and fondness for spending time with his grandchildren. He had great joy in having get-togethers with family and friends, where he would spend hours cooking and making everyone feel welcome. Prayers will be held this evening, Friday, February 8, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2255 Grant Avenue. Funeral service will be held the following morning, Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the same location with Rev. Fr. Theodore Paraskevopoulos presiding. Interment will take place in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens at 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so may make a donation in Bob's memory to the Manitoba Hellenic Cultural Centre (MHCC). A special thank-you to the kind staff within the Intensive Care Unit at Grace Hospital for their empathy. Voyage Funeral Home & Crematorium 668-3151

My deepest condolences to the Sarantopoulos family. I have many great memories of working with Bob at Madison Lodge many, many years ago. He was a great cook and introduced me to "Greek lemon potatoes". He was always fun to be around and brightened your day if he knew you were feeling down. So sorry to hear of his passing. - Posted by: Lori LaBine (Previous co-worker of Bob and and his son, John) on: May 28, 2013
