Condolences & Memories (9 entries)

  • I had a chance to meet Henry this past winter, didn't know him for very long, the length of time seeing and talking with Henry was always a pleasure, his mannerism was unexplainable because it was always over the top. I admired how much he loved working on his bikes, a passion of his that he was very talented at. Wish I could have gotten to know you more Henry. I will miss talking and seeing you, enjoy paradise. - Posted by: Joey S (Friend) on: Feb 12, 2013

  • Hendrix was always always at the Bike Dump bringing a jovial atmosphere to the place with his conversation and passion for bike mechanics. He was always eager to help out and almost always brought cookies or cakes along with him. His presence is sorely missed. - Posted by: Thierry Marchildon-Lavoie (Volunteer at the Bike Dump) on: Feb 12, 2013

  • I had the privilege of knowing Henry since the late 1970's, reconnecting with him at the Bike Dump, the Bike Cage, and Siloam Mission over the last couple of years. The first time I was at the Bike Dump he recognized me, and immediately welcomed me with an offer of bannock and jam! Henry was a great guy and is missed by everyone who knew him. - Posted by: Hardy Groening (Friend at Bike Cage, Siloam Mission) on: Feb 12, 2013

  • Henry was known to his friends at the Bike Dump community bike shop as "Hendrix". He enjoyed working on his bike there, and helping others fix theirs too. Hendrix was a gentle soul. He always treated people with consideration and patience. He will be missed. - Posted by: Daniel Scouten (Bike shop friend) on: Feb 10, 2013

  • Henry was the most kindest and understanding guy i knew. He would always help people in need. Often taking them out for something to eat when they were hungry. It saddened me when i found out the news about his passing. He enjoyed playing hockey and watching games on tv. We were a part of a group of north end guys that played ball hockey every night. We helped start the ball hockey program at weetamah corps on logan a number of years back which is still open today. Henry was really proud of this. He would never say a bad word about anyone. He was never angry at anyone. I will miss him, fly with god my bro.............. - Posted by: michael anderson (cuz) on: Feb 10, 2013
