  • Una persona increible que nos enseño a jugar hockey y ver la vida en el esfuerzo - Posted by: Zubicaray (Fue mi entrenador en España en Bilbao) on: Nov 08, 2015

  • I met Bud when he coached Antwerp Phantoms in Belgium, I always liked his drive to make us play better hockey. Hockey didn't stop in summer, we did physical training and I admired the way he managed to jump higher or run faster. Bud was hockey, hockey is Bud. Never forget you, keep playing hockey my friend wherever you are. - Posted by: Bob Heynderickx (Hockey) on: Jul 03, 2015

  • I met Bud in Belgium when I was a youngster in the seventies. He was my hockey coach in Antwerp. He was very special to me. He knew how to motivate his young players thanks to his approach, his coaching style. He never called me by my name, instead he gave me my nickname. I can still hear him shout: Keep your two hands on the stick and skate Big Red, skate!!! He always reminded me of my father, a soccer coach... same style. After two or three seasons Bud left the club. I missed him dearly. I've always hoped to see him again, one day... Today I read about his passing, two years ago. So sad... Thanx coach, I will never forget you. Big Red. - Posted by: Eric Hofman (Hockey) on: Feb 16, 2015

  • I met Bud in the seventies in Belgium where he coached me for two seasons in Brussels and in Antwerp. He was a real hockey man always talking hockey to everyone. When he left Belgium we lost contact with him. Today I received an e-mail from Doug Scott with the sad news. My condolences to his daughters and grandchildren. - Posted by: Bob Moris (hockeyfriend) on: Feb 14, 2015

  • I have so many wonderful memories of my Uncle, from when I was just a young girl, to when I stayed with him and Chris in Antwerp, Belgium. I know he is loved and missed by his Nephews, Nieces and Sister. - Posted by: Patty Fraser (Niece) on: Jan 09, 2015

  • My condolences to everyone. I met Bud in Africa in 1969 where we played hockey together, I learned in a hurry that he was a special person. He was a great mentor to me. I value our times together riding our horses on the veld in Africa, playing and rooming together in Anterwp and Brussels even learning how to cook and eat beef tongue / not. We shared a million laughs together, and some tears talking of family and friends. A lifetime of memories I have that will be treasured Buddy. Rest in Peace Brother. - Posted by: Doug Scott (Friend, and teammate,South Africa and Belgium) on: Mar 24, 2014

  • I knew Bud briefly in 1971 and I have no idea why he was on my mind today. He offered me friendship during a very lonely time in my life. Condolences to all his family - Posted by: Beatty-Anne (A friend for a brief period in Belgium) on: Dec 14, 2013

  • We will always remember Bud as a great Step Dad and wonderful Grand Dad. So sad to have missed the last years of his life.... With all our sympathy to his daughters, His Belgian Family - Posted by: Cathy and Patrick Dua and children Virginie, Gilles and Fabienne (Chris' Children and grand-children : Chris lived with Bud in Belgium for over 20 years) on: Feb 15, 2013

  • Bud and my brother George were always together as early as kindergarden. If one got in trouble so did the other. Bud was the best man at George's wedding. Their lives took different directions in the late 50's. His Donald Duck mimic drove us crazy, the more complaints the more he did it. He was like another brother. My sympathies are with his family. • It should be mentioned that Bud was the developer of the kick shot. It was considered so dangerous that it was banned. At a tournament in Warrod they nearly called the police out after the opposing team bailed out. - Posted by: Bill Wallace (Friend from Morley Ave) on: Feb 13, 2013

  • Will always recall his fabulous ability to speak just like Donald Duck. When he spent time with us on our farm, he would tell me what a lucky kid I was. I know that now Bud. Thinking of all of you right now. - Posted by: Heather Brewster (Cavers) (Cousin) on: Feb 11, 2013

  • Rest in peace Uncle Bud - Posted by: Bud Fraser () on: Feb 10, 2013

  • Bud was such a teaser! I always loved when he would come out to Grandma and Grandpa's! He always called me Lester B Pearson! Our deepest sympathies to all of you. - Posted by: Leslie Van Damme (Cavers) (Cousin) on: Feb 09, 2013
