THERESE (TERRY) JOSEPHINE TREMBLAY 1944-2013 Our Mom and friend passed away on February 6 after a brief battle with cancer. She will be sorely missed by her children and their families; Gilles (Dianne), Breanne and Larissa; Denis (Heidi), Nicholas and Jesse; Michelle; Lise (Shawn), Evan and Meagan; and Giselle. Also missing their "mom" are her devoted canine companions, Mojo and Ryley. Terry joins her husband, Gerry, in ever-lasting peace. Mom was very generous, loving, humourous and wise. She will especially be remembered for the magic and warmth she brought to all our celebrations, the love she poured over her grandchildren, her constant support, her lively spirit and laughter, and being pictionary-challenged. According to her wishes, cremation has already taken place and a Memorial Celebration for friends and family will be held on February 16, 1:00 p.m., in the Promenade Room of the Norwood Hotel (112 Marion St). The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Ball for his kindness and support, and to the caring staff at St. Boniface Hospital. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice. We love and miss you; You will always be the wind beneath our wings

Condolences & Memories (9 entries)

  • She loved playing games and liked to win. She will be missed at family get-togethers. Even when we know and expect it, it is never easy. We share your grief. - Posted by: Joe and suzie Muller (friends and neighbours) on: Feb 15, 2013

  • Thank you all for your comments. We were given the gift of time, in that we had a month from the diagnosis until her death in which we were able to express our love, our gratitude but also our regrets. Even with the time I had to prepare myself to eventually lose my mom/friend, there are no words to describe the pain and emptiness in both my heart and my home. Mom, continue on your journey with dad. Love and miss you both. - Posted by: Michelle (family) on: Feb 13, 2013

Terry was a very kind and caring person who always gave me words of encouragement and took a genuine interest in how I was doing. • Your mom and I have been friends since the early 1960's. each day, I would pick her up as I lived at the end of St Jean Baptistery St. Then we would pick up Claudette. I still have pictures of her at my grad party. I had not seen her for a long time when I found out she was the mother of the bride at a wedding. After our 50th reunion, I saw her often. She still made me laugh. I loved her irreverent comments and straightforward way of stating things. I will miss her. - Posted by: Anita Perron (Friend) on: Feb 11, 2013
