JAMES (JIM) WILLIAM STUART On February 11, 2013, James passed away at Concordia Hospital. Jim was predeceased by his Father William Stuart and his mother Hattie Stuart. Jim, was a beloved husband, brother, brother- in-law, uncle and great-uncle and we will miss him deeply! He passed away at 85 years of age. Besides his wife Jeanette (née) Obremski, of over 61 years, he is survived by his sister Amy and his brother Lyle of Saskatchewan, sister-in-law Vicky Perrin, sister-in-law Evelyn McMahon, nephews Gary Moulder (Alexandra), Grant Moulder (Marilyn) Derek Moulder (Dawn), Blair Senkiw (Betty), Glen Senkiw, and a nephew in Roland, MB, as well as nieces Christine (Dave) Tammy Agland (Don), great- nephews Curtis Moulder (Jill), Ryan Moulder, great-great-nieces Deana, Melanie, Ashley, Teija, Pheonix and great great nephew Colin. As a sales representative Jim represented many different firms over the years. He got his start with Cassidy. He also represented Porter Cable Connect, Monsanto, Herman Miller, Canadian Office And School Furniture (COSF). His dream finally came through when he founded James Stuart Agencies! Although Jim travelled with his work he really looked forward to packing up the station wagon (of the year) to head for the cottage In West Hawk Lake or for a trip to Fargo, Minneapolis or anywhere Nana and Jim wanted to go with their bulldog at his side. Some of us had the wonderful opportunity of heading off into the sunset with them. You could also have found Jim and Nana on their special spot on the sand in Waikiki! Jim could also be found coaching the Nomads in Football or a team of future hockey stars. We were taught many things by our Uncle Jim - how to crush pennies on railroad tracks, his love of all animals, especially his English Bulldogs, the enjoyment of cottage life (at West Hawk Lake) and tobogganing at Uncle Jim's Hill. The last few years had been difficult for him, but he never complained and seemed to make the best out of a difficult situation. He will be missed, but not forgotten! A Memorial Service will be held at the Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Lee Barringer as Celebrant. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society in Jim's Memory, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3T 0R3 204-982-2021. 204-586-8044

  • To Nana, Vicky, Alexandra and Gary I am deeply saddened to hear of Jim's passing. I will never forget how he treated me like one of the family on those long-ago trips to Hawaii or him taking us on "his" walking tour of downtown Honolulu with a stop at that little diner for a breakfast of eggs and Portuguese sausage. He was a gentle giant with a heart to match. Rest in Peace Jim. - Posted by: brenda Winslade () on: Feb 16, 2013

  • It is hard to give Jim the title of "Uncle" because he was so much more. Jim was a man who taught, and gave me the opportunity to experience things in life that most dream of. Driving with Jim to Falcon Lake for the morning paper, to walking the beaches of Waikiki. His passion for life was complimented by his great sense of humor, and a level of class like no other. No matter what the situation, if you were lucky enough to be in Jim's presence, you knew you would be ok and life was good. He was truly a man who wore his heart on his sleeve. Jim you will be missed more than words can say. - Posted by: Curtis Moulder (Nephew) on: Feb 13, 2013

  • I remember the week I was fortunate to spend with the Moulders at the Stuart Cottage almost 50 years ago. Jim treated me as one of his nephews. His sense of humour was infectious, and his generosity unsurpassed. He was wonderful, warm person who I am proud to have known. My condolences to Jeanette and all the family. God Bless. - Posted by: John Sobczak (Friend of Moulder Family) on: Feb 13, 2013

  • I will always remember uncle Jim for his quick one liners and his wonderful sense of humor. He was the most cheerful person to be around, and always had a great story. Growing up in BC, I spent most of my summer and winter breaks in Winnipeg. I always looked forward to time spent at the cottage with my aunt and uncle. I always looked up to Uncle Jim and enjoyed our time spent on the deck as he told stories while smoking his cigars. I will never forget him taking me to Hunt Lake to fish and helping me add to a tree fort that my brother and him once built. I remember him teaching me to tap a nail on its end so it wouldn't split the wood. I will never forget all the trips to the arcade, Kenora Fests and trips to the beach, where uncle Jim pulled a leech off my leg. I was lucky to enjoy so many happy memories with my great uncle Jim. You will never be forgotten. Rest In Paradise. - Posted by: Ryan Moulder (Nephew ) on: Feb 13, 2013

  • My Uncle Jim was so much fun to be around. Not only did he have a great sense of humor; but he was kind and generous. At family gatherings you tried to get a seat as near to him as you could - that would guarantee you alot of attention and you didn't miss any of his countless jokes. - Posted by: chris bartlett (niece) on: Feb 13, 2013
