Lloyd and Betty treasured many lifelong friendships and enjoyed being a part of the community of Sanford. November they celebrated 56 years together. Betty enjoyed cooking, sewing and knitting and always had a book at her side. Lloyd loved his yard, camping, CB radio, computer and volunteering at The Grace General Hospital and always sharing his great sense of humour. I was so shocked and sorry to see this obituary... they say that couples who truly love each other won't last long without the other. This is so true with Lloyd and Betty. We would love to hear from any of the 'girls,' it's been so long... - Posted by: Dave and Leona Sandison (Friends of the family) on: Jul 23, 2013

So sorry for the loss of both your parents. They were truly wonderful, down to earth people. Always enjoyed their visits to the dental office when they came to visit Heather. Also miss Lloyd's emails. Thinking of you all. - Posted by: Carol Dobson (friend) on: Feb 18, 2013

Our hearts go out to you: Leslie, Kathryn, and Heather, and to your families in the loss of your beloved mom and dad. My parents and yours, as you know, had been great friends through the years. My dad very much appreciated "Lloyd's Sunday-morning calls" after my folks moved to the West Coast. May fond memories sustain you and yours. - In Sympathy, Jim & Kathryn Patterson (nee McKay) - Posted by: Kathryn Patterson (Friend) on: Feb 15, 2013

We would like to send our sympathy to the family on the passing of your parents. As difficult as it is to lose them you can take comfort that they are together. Your father was a kind and caring man. It is an honor and pleasure to count myself among those who called him "friend". - Posted by: Joyce and Doug Livingston (friends) on: Feb 15, 2013

Leslie, John, Travis & Lindsay: We are so sorry to hear of your dad (grampa's) passing but know it is better that his suffering is over. The hardest part is always adjusting to the loss, but we can assure you from personal experience that the memories accumulated over time really help. We want you to know our prayers and best wishes are with you all at this time. Terry and Sharon - Posted by: Terry and Sharon O'Driscoll (Friend of the Family) on: Feb 15, 2013

Sorry to hear of the passing of both Betty and Lloyd. I didn't know them, but they were friends of my father, Bill Peckover. As I understand it, he introduced them all those many years ago. He always spoke highly of them. - Posted by: Glenn Peckover (Friend) on: Feb 14, 2013
