God saw her getting tired, And a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around her And whispered, Come with Me. With tearful eyes we watched her suffer And saw her fade away. Although we loved her dearly, We could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. I had lost track of Bette in the last few years. I was just thinking that I don't know of a more honest, upright, and kind person as Bette McHugh. She and Jack were special people, giving of themselves, and were great roll models. When ever I asked after Danny and Earl her face would light up with joy and delight and she was so pleased to talk of her, now large, family. My condolences to all the family.
