MARY ELIZABETH (BETTY) DRIMES July 11, 1917 - February 13, 2013 Mom was born in Saskatchewan. She moved to Winnipeg where she later met and married the love of her life and best friend Phil. Her and dad moved to Old Kildonan where they raised Carol, Eddy, Gerry, and Doug. Mom and dad lived in Old Kildonan until dad passed away in 1989. She moved into her apartment where she stayed until Gerry and Dave took her in and made her a wonderful suite in their home at Spruce Sands. From there she was well looked after at the Arborg Personal Care Home then the Betel Home in Gimli. Mom was predeceased by her husband Phil, daughter Carol, sister Irene, sister Marge, and sister Ruth. She leaves to mourn her daughter Gerry (Dave), son Doug (Heather), son Ed (Donna), and son-in-law Darryl (Pat), brothers Jim (Marion), Orland (Terry), Laury (Gloria), Len (Carol) along with 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment will be Monday, February 25 at 1:00 p.m. at Kildonan Presbyterian Cemetery, 2373 Main Street, West Kildonan. Luncheon to honour Mom will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. 204-586-8044

I FIRST MET BETTY WHEN DARRYL TOOK ME TO MEET THE FAMILY SHE WAS SO ACCEPTING OF ME SUCH A KIND WARM LADY. IT HAD TO BE SUCH A GREAT LOSS TO LOOSE A DAUGHTER AT SUCH A YOUNG AGE.
