JOANNE MARGARET MCEWAN
Date of Passing: Feb 12, 2013
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOANNE MARGARET MCEWAN With saddened hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Joanne McEwan on February 12, 2013. Joanne was predeceased by her parents James and Evelyn McEwan, and her brother James Jr. She will be deeply missed by her children - son Chris Andersen (Lisa), grandchildren, Randee, Rayna, Dallas and Ryan; daughter Dana Richardson (Ian), grandchildren Ryan and Colin. She will also be missed by her seven brothers, her sister and sisters-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, cousins and friends. Joanne was the eldest of 10 children and loved her roll of being the big sister and keeping all her brothers in line. She loved her family deeply, but her children and grandchildren gave her the most joy. Her heart was happy and her face always lit up in their presence. Joanne fought her illness with dignity and grace and even kept her cheeky sense of humour right up to the very end. The family would like to thank the staff of Concordia Hospital N1 South for their care and compassion. We would also like to thank Wheeler Funeral Home for their service and support. As per Joanne's wishes, she will be cremated and a private family service will take place at a later date. Joanne is now with the angels.

Jodie was a flower girl at my parents wedding in 1957 and Jodie gave my mom and dad a beautiful glass swan as a wedding gift. I have the swan in my home and I think of Jodie every time I see it. I will cherish it forever. May you be at peace Jodie. Love always from your cousin in Victoria. I will miss you. Love Michelle - Posted by: Michelle Dobie (Cousin) on: Feb 18, 2013
