SHIRLEY MARIE FALK (nee FOLK) March 3, 1937 - February 10, 2013 After a lengthy battle with cancer, our beloved mother and grandmother passed peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. Shirley was predeceased by her parents Martin and Ferina and her siblings Jimmy, Ruth and Milton. Shirley enjoyed reading and puzzles of any kind, and was a star on the golf course when her health still allowed. She was an avid collector of angels and elephants, although she never knew why elephants and angels went together... Left to mourn are her loving husband of 57 years Abe, children Larry, Cindy (Cam), Perry (Kelly), Lori (Phil), Ken, and her many grandchildren. At Shirley's request, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations would be gratefully appreciated to CancerCare Manitoba. A special thanks to the Palliative Care Team at St. Boniface Hospital.

OUR PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU. I WISH I COULD HAVE KNOWN SHIRLEY. I WAS 15 YEARS YOUNGER ONLY EVER MET HER ONCE when I was about 6 years old , when they came to visit us in Moose Jaw. AFTER THAT Shirley had left home. WE ONLY MET 75 % OF THE ENTIRE FOLK FAMILY. WE NEW LOVED UNCLE MARTIN AND AUNT FERINA VERY MUCH. My Mom first encountered cancer 30 years ago, managed to show it who's boss. Then for about the last ten years it came back with a vengeance. She fought for many years, then it became too much. She lost her fight, she would have just celebrated her birthday March 3rd. People keep assuring me that she is in a much better place now. In loving memory of my Mother, Shirley Falk. To me she was the most wonderful mother a person could have. God has asked for her and her beautiful soul to join him in heaven. I do believe she will make just as good an Angel as she did a Mother. I do take some comfort in knowing she is no longer in pain Here's to keeping her alive in our thoughts and memories.
