After receiving his BSc (University of Manitoba), his MD (University of Ottawa), Randy interned in Los Angeles and specialized in Diagnostic Radiology at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. He served in the U.S. Army Medical Corp (Lieutenant Colonel) for three years after the Vietnam War. His practice of Radiology took him to Sault Ste Marie, but his passion for horses drew him to Toronto and later to Kentucky where, in addition to his busy practice, he owned, bred and raced his thoroughbred horses. He was especially proud that his son followed in his footsteps by specializing in Interventional Radiology. A celebration of his life is planned for the spring in Indianapolis.
